Merry Go Round Museum - Sandusky, Ohio

I think what appeals to me about the merry-go-round is the sheer impracticality of it. There is no room in our world for hand-carved things of beauty and musical instruments that play themselves. They aren't big or fast or loud or cheap or extreme or efficient. 

It was nice to enjoy some impracticality for a day.

Swear to god, the gift shop sold bags of wood shavings
carved off of this bad boy. Only $0.99. And there was like,
a generous amount of shavings in that bag.

Ain't nobody here but us chickens. 

Sea monsters were a short lived fad. Seems they
terrified children. And yet this guy...

Downtown Canton

I have this theory that nobody actually moves to Canton - you just sort of end up here. Kind of like Denny's. Only I went downtown recently and it's gotten a hell of a lot nicer than a Denny's in the time since I visited there last. 

Man, you don't really notice how terrible your posture is until you're trying to straighten pictures that include a bunch of parallel lines.
